Meet my new old friend Monty (pics!) |
Lead | |
|
This is Monty (Montego Bay), the horse I've posted about. He's my very first horse and is 23. We're going to work on adding weight and getting more
fit slowly... and the farrier is coming Wednesday. Right now we're just hanging out, and getting to know each other. He has a retirement pasture waiting
for him 20 miles down the road, and when he's ready, that's where he'll go (and I can visit!). He has much to teach me, and I'm grateful for
whatever time we'll have together. Hopefully, in 6 months I'll be able to post pictures of a glossy, muscled, happy Monty (and a thinner Stacey)!

Congratulations, he's LOVELY! I wanna come over and smooch on his sweet nose, lol! I bet he'll be just gorgeous when he's all shed out and glossy.
Quick side note - please adjust his halter...it's hanging way too low on his face. You want the throat piece to be...well...much closer to his throat. |

AAWW! Monty that reminds me of a old horse that passed away not too long ago at the farm I go to he was a good old man.
Anywho, he looks like a gentleman, good luck with him.

I will adjust the halter today. He's a Hanoverian, you can kind of see his brand in the first pic. I guess he was a somewhat well-known GP horse back in
the day. He's such a nice guy.
