Id also teach this horse that moving towards you EVER without invitation is grounds for an ass kicking.  I'd spend tons and tons of time with him in hand, without letting him get away with anything. 

I'll admit that I haven't dealt with many aggressive disrespectful horses... more along the lines of 'never been taught better, and arrogant.'  The arrogant ones have been the hardest for me.

Well... I guess I have with various biters.  But not kickers, to be honest.  The only kicker I dealt with was a 5 year old whose owner was too scared to touch his back end, so he learned to be dumb about it.  He got over it quickly.

I'm with KG though... if you don't think you can handle it, it is better to let a pro do the job.  Even a smidge of fear or hesitance will draw this problem out for far longer than it has to be.
