I don't know. Right now she isn't really jumping a ton, mostly working on basics on the flat, so I don't mind working with a horse to get steadier over fences. I think though they prefer to get something younger that won't have any arthritis or health concerns that they then have to get trained over fences vs. an older "made" horse. The pony they were making payments on from my mom that fell through was 4 years old and 13.3 with an oversized horse sized head and a short upright neck (but a nice pretty tail). This was her dealing with a spook a couple months back (it was super windy so the pony was upset about the wind and the trees...yes I've already corrected her about the reins). As you can see, she needs more flat work before she could just head out and jump.

^ Hehe, yeah I remember you talking about it when I first brought my pony home, whose supposedly a connie/TB or connie/welsh depending on which previous owner your talking to, lol. My mom had a pony she bought that looked like a shetland mini cross that was a "welsh"...I've never seen a welsh built like a dachshund.
