Well, this evening was interesting! Lol. Got out there and caught him. He really didn't want to come in. It's storming and rain on a tin roof on top of thunder= Spooky ass horse. But I did get him in and started going around after a little work yielding his hindquarters and backing and such. Just trying to get his brain working. He went to the trot just fine, so we moved towards the lope. Into the wall, butt flips out. Oh joy!

So, I threw a feed bucket at him. I missed of course. I have the worst aim in the world. But it hits the tin and makes a big boom noise. This causes him to jump away from the wall, so I used it as an excuse to smack him in the ass and make him start going again. Got to the same corner and asked him to go again. He kicks up into that lope and went for 3 full laps before I slowed him up (didn't want to press my luck). Changed sides, went from walk to trot to lope with no issues. Flipped again and asked for the lope straight off. First sign of pressure and he was off like a shot in the lope. He did break it that time so I pushed him back up and then slowed him down.

I'm sure this won't be our last fight on this, but hey, it's progress!
