Well, so far I've learned that Solomon, the horse at the rescue that I think I'll be focusing on, likes fresh peppermint leaves and carrots.

People at the barn are hand feeding him. It really, really does seem to make him pushy! I can't really change what other people do, but I can try to work with him myself, at least. He's a smart boy. I'm working on teaching him "wait" while I put the carrots in his stall. He's picking up on it pretty quickly, I think. I know, horses are not dogs. Heh. But I'm sure a horse can learn "wait." Good manners = easier adoption, I'd think.
