As a novice horse owner I find Parelli quite confusing, there is too much stuff and jargon for something that's supposed to be based on understanding a horse's natural instincts and body language . I've become quite cynical about nh generally, I don't like the way some nh equipment is marketed as being "kind" or humane when it's no more kind than any of the more traditional training aids, particuarly in novice hands, and I personally feel that NH aims for the novice and/or nervous horse owner/rider. (and I say that as a novice/nervous horse person)
Early on.. there wasn't all that bullshit, magical riding dildo, jargon shit..  For the most part it was basic, relatively sensible, information that a novice could use...

Then it became popular and people started seeing dollar signs, and the PR people moved in, the advertising people moved in, Linda moved in.. and it's just been getting worse and worse from there.
