I don't have a family doctor, only have access to a walk-in clinic about 1 1/2 hrs from where I live...I'm due to go there in a week or so to refill some prescriptions, so I will talk to the doctor there about all of this.

Not to stress you out more but honestly, don't bother.  They will not be able to give you the information and testing you'll need.  Dr's in walk in clinics are trained to do "band aid" treatments and move you out the door.  You need to see a GYN and a good one at that.  Even if it means driving 3 hrs away.  I don't want to scare you or stress you out but this IS your health and potentially your life we're talking about.  You need to take it seriously and get all the facts.  After you see an GYN and make a plan you'll probably only need yearly followups but you need to see a GOOD Dr.
