Oh how frustrating! At least it was properly labeled and you didn't discover that error a year down the road... I love Goodtimes, and considered him for my mare, but I am not sure the foal would be marketable as he needs a big mare. Are the stud reimbursing you for lost vet costs, etc?
Yes, luckily it was container label error, or we would have been in a mess trying to figure the sire out next year!  He really is a great stallion, but the mare is only 16.1hh herself and we don't necessarily need to go smaller!
The stud isn't involved, but there distributor will pay the extra shipping costs I believe.  Luckily for us, vet stuff is free, so we don't have to go down that road

So, you're just going to lutalyse her 5 days after this heat? Or will the semen not get there soon enough?

We are going to do nothing until we get the semen and then decide from there.  Will probably short cycle her, but won't until that semen is in our hands!

im in love with that stud pictured.. his HEAD drool drool....
So, what happens now? is the semen 'throw away" now?
He is a lovely stallion.  If he wasn't a different breeding direction than we want I wouldn't even mind using him!

I think the semen goes back and is used again - it is frozen, and they distrubutor only gets a certain amount of each stallion a year, so some of it is very covetted!
