The bottom line is what HNH said in her first post - The market is still good for quality horses, which, unfortunately, is something many of you do not agree with or even understand. And since you have no real foundation for a civil discussion on that, you resort to criticizing the purchaser for his perceived intentions, or even the intention of the OP for sharing the sale of her mare. That's a pretty sad deal. After all, you're all so perfect and never present your opinions without judgment and sarcasm. The Fugly blog nurtured the unmoderated snark, you all took that and ran with it without remorse, limits, or consequences, and your board owner encourages the drama. So roll in it.
I think that you are incorrectly conflating people's surprise that the buyer planned to import a horse to another continent to trail ride with the idea that there is no market for quality horses. I didn't see anyone say that there isn't a market for quality horses, nor did I see anyone suggest that HNH's mare is not a nice horse. The fact that you and HNH quickly stepped in to clarify that the purchaser had other motives for importing the horse seems to suggest that you agree that importing a trail horse is not a logical proposition, so I am not really sure where the supercilious and argumentative tone of your posts is coming from.
