The Aussie economy is doing well? I've lost the chance at two horses to an Aussie, and some dang Aussie got ALL of the semen I was hoping for. I thought I'd finally be able to compete for the name brand, non-crippled horses when the prices came down after Europe starting tanking, but my life is tanking, too. Ahh, such is life - a day late and a few hundred K short...
Sounds like some of us are a bit jealous of HnH? I know I am, but I congratulate her on the sale (and on the buyer, too - nice horse). HnH, want to broker a few of mine?
TRD, one of your comments didn't really fit. If you speak horse with any real, serious horseman, not the "I wuvs my pretty fugly" type who recues donkeys and such - you'll eventually hear FTF's name come up as THE expert in her field. I'm a bit hardened on believing the BS that can come out on the internet with all the "experts" who saw it in a video (or read it on Fugly so they know it all), but there are some on here who are the real deal. You, sir, do not belong in that catagory. You do just fine as the video expert and the tell em what they want to here - but as a serious horseman, you fail. It may not be your intent to actually be a horseman, but wouldn't the horse world be a better place if those people involved in it actually aspired to become horseman and not just follow blindly anyone who tells them what they want to hear? Wouldn't the backyard horse appreciate the same considerations as a horse that works? I think it would even help the "oh my god, they eat horses" crowd if they'd learn what a horse was suppose to look like and what they can actually can do, instead of supporting the local ArawalkiespottedFluff breeder by buying (rescueing) their stock. What is so wrong with someone who knows what they're talking about trying to impart a bit of wisdom? Some on here have been around horses longer than a lot here have been out of diapers (though age doesn't always mean wisdom, it should mean experience). It may be hard seperating the wheat from the chaff (or rather, information from BS), but it can be done. Basically, like all else, if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is.
I step down now. Congrats on the sale again, HnH.
