^^^I prefer a "puppydog" personality (all mine are like that now, except for my mare...she's not all-business but she's not cuddly either) over a "strictly business" personality, but I wouldn't mind having a strictly business horse if they were really good at what they did, so long as they weren't assholes. I don't like pissy horses, that's just me though. I've just known a few who seemed like they were always pissed off, like their ears were glued back to their neck, and it put ME in a bad mood to be around them, haha.
There's a little gelding my coach let me ride during one of my lessons, and I LOVED him. It was actually his son's horse that he rode to a world show championship (so needless to say I was a little nervous riding him...I didn't want to mess him up!). He's awesome to ride and totally gets down to business when it's showtime, but outside the ring, he's a big lovebug and just has the sweetest face. I'll have to get a pic of him next time I'm up there. He just always seems so content and happy no matter what he's doing, and I love that. If I were able to get a horse right now (and had a ton of money to blow, lol), I'd offer to buy him.
