Yup, this. All the teenagers who think they're trainers at the barn wear the boots out over the jeans. I think it looks beyond stupid. I wore mine like that when I was 12, then I realized what a doofus I looked like, and changed my ways. I can't wait until someone thinks it's cool to do this in the show ring. ha.

I usually wear just zip-up paddock boots, anyway.

This reminds me, when I do showmanship and I'm waiting to go into the class, I will put my pants (showmanship pants however, not jeans) in my boots to try to keep them clean, especially if it's been raining or something, or the ground is still wet.  A lot of people would do this though. You just have to remember to put them back outside the boots before going in the class! (Yes, I've totally forgotten to do that before.  I realized it once I got lined up to go (someone told me, haha) so fortunately I didn't go through the whole pattern like that, but it was still embarrassing.
Heh, when we're showing WP, we roll up our chaps and pants, to keep them from getting dirty. I definitely rode a whole class with my pants still rolled up, because by the time I realized that I'd forgotten, it was too late to do anything about it.

Anyway, I always wear my jeans outside of my boots. The only people who tuck them in around here are the yahoos. If it's muddy I wear rubber boots with my jeans tucked in, and put my cowboy boots on just to ride.

Photobucket life ain't always beautiful, but it's a beautiful ride
