I know little about photography, so I thought maybe some of you could chime in with some thoughts, ideas, good, bad or whatever. I will just number them and explain them if need be. Thanks in advance.1 Ranger The focus is not quite right, and there is a halo effect on the dog. Try upping the contrast a bit. I do like the composition. 2 Ranger again The first one was better, in terms of composition, otherwise same comments. This one is a cute photo of a pet. 3 Duke Very nice lighting, and the focus is good, but a general rule of thumb for photographing animals is to be at the same level as them, so you don't make thier head look huge. I love his expression, and the highlights in his eyes are awsome. I would crop it just above the collar, myself.4 Shelf fungii on a dead tree Meh. Nothing really captivating about this one. Not enough contrast, and not really interesting lighting. The details in the fungus is nice though.5 Kaitlyn A very cute picture. I like it, nice lighting, nice composition. Again, up the contrast. At this point I think you may need to clean your lens. Every shot has had a slightly blurry, halo-ish effect, which could be caused by a dirty lens.6 Another dead tree (can you tell the girls were having fun with black and white?) Increase the contrast, and crop it so the tree is off-center, an I think this is a decent shot.7 Yet another dead tree Very cool perspective, neat composition, not bad on the contrast. I like it, for a basic, beginners shot. They took a bunch of other pics too, but I haven't gotten them all uploaded yet. Maybe later.
