From a marketing perspective I would post an ad for 2 or MAYBE 3 of them, then when prospective buyers contact, then let them in on the fact there are other choices.

That's a good idea.

And maybe advertise a couple now, a couple later.

Selling a LOT of horses all in one hit, especially when some are older etc, screams "closing down sale"

I have a friend who advertises their horses, as well as their friends horses...because they are computer savvy and the friend is not.

Last time they posted, there were a LOT of horses listed...my friend's foals were nice, her friend's foals were fugly, and then there were just a couple of random adult horses listed for other people.

It looked REALLY BAD because the email provided etc was for one person. So it just screamed "miss-match byb with 20 different breeds!!!!!" which was NOT the case (for my friend, anyway...)

I had a couple of people direct comments to me, because they knew we'd just bought a foal from her...and I had to explain that not all the horses were hers...

So that was instant negativity right there.
