It's funny, I worked at all these show barns, but I learned the most about breaking from a coke addict steeple chase jokey who broke babies and rode problem horses for people I know. This guy was NUTS! He showed up with a racing saddle, put it on the horse, long lined the horse for 5 minutes, hoped on and went around the bull pen. He also sang the whole time (and sniffled). The second day he would leave the bull pen and go riding where ever. He would always say "I don't care how fast they go, I can ride as fast as they want to run, but as long as they are going forward they wont buck." And I'm talking fresh out of pasture babies who were literally barely halter broke, and he had them out in the hills on day 2, day 3 if they were really bad. Everyone a the barn came to the conclusion that the horses were too confused by how crazy he was to even question him. Then he went to jail and we haven't see him since, but he was AMAZING and these horses really did get broke. I was the craziest thing I have ever seen
