Accidents can happen at ANY height...even on the flat! Or when handling on the ground...just ask my mum, on the 8th of January a young horse spooked, knocked her over and stepped on her leg, she only started walking again end of last week...

I saw this girl get carted off to hospital last year after a jumping accident. It occured at the very next jump to what she is going over in this photo, it was a double. Pony just got the wrong stride, tripped over the jump and flipped completely over his nose and landed on top of the girl.



Actually, if it had been a bigger jump the pony would have probably not tried to jump it at all and just stopped, throwing the girl off. Because it was small, he tried to jump it anyway and that's what caused the damage.
