Depends on what you want to do with the horses, and how you plan on spending your life. Keeping your horses at home means ALWAYS being there, no vacations, no shows unless everyone is going, etc, etc etc. For me, boarding is, and probably always will be, the best solution. They are taken care of better than I could myself. I physically cannot dedicate enough time to them to take care of them to my satisfaction, so they are boarded. Now, I will say the ONLY way I will ever board again is in a barn, with a trainer on site, completely in said trainer's program.
