I wasn't under the impression that you were being snarky. I know what you meant . I was just pointing out that the barns I have had to board at really ARE shitty, and it would be fabulous to have affordable boarding stables that offered what your barn does. I would kill for that... almost. The thing is down here, there are soooooooo many barns in competition with each other, you can't get the care you need. It sucks. You'd shit yourself if you saw the level of care some of these baording stables offer and how inflated the prices are. Even some of the fancy schmancy barns just can't get it right. At least in this area. Now you go over to Pilot Point and you'll get what you need. It's slightly more expensive but not unbearable. Come to think of it, I was mistaken. The very first barn I was at, when I first moved to Texas, I never had to worry about my horses. The barn owner was a (and I do not mean this in a derogatory way at all) gay halter guy. Just my type... anal as hell, neurotic as hell, and made damn sure every horse was perfect. Had a good sense of humor too and was super easy to get along with. It was just my horses and an App trainer there so he didn't have to deal with multiple boarders. He was just easy peasy. He was a real horsemen and knew what to do when shit hit the fan. A lot of the folks in the area I am in now may have horses... but are not horsemen. Hope that makes sense. If I ever had to board again, I think I'd opt to keep my horses an hour away at his place rather than the stables in my area.
