You have to find a place who does it the way that you want it done.

The only problem is owners. Some owners, such as myself, want certain things done a certain way. Their horses fed, worked, and groomed at certain times. When you have a 6 day a week program, it's hard to find a boarding stable to accommodate that. My biggest thing was stalls. How anyone can NOT pick a stall correctly is beyond me. No it's not ok to leave 10 turds in the stall. Those 10 turds seem to multiply by the end of the week. One boarding stable I was at wouldn't pick the pee spots if it looked dry on top. Seriously. Not many boarding stables around here will pick stalls 4 times per day. There is one... but it's $1100 per month for one horse and it really IS a nice facility. There is such a thing as being too picky. I am one of those people. However, I am not afraid to feed my own, pick my own stalls, turn my own out, etc. And that is what I have had to do when boarding in the past.
