Six of one, half-dozen of the other. I'm a boarding stable's dream. Except for hogging the arenas because I ride *a lot* I am not particularly picky about how my horses are kept (within reason). I do however, HATEHATEHATE barn drama so in that respect I must have a nice peaceful place to work or I'd rather keep them at home. I like having them at home except for not having a good enough arena here. If I had a huge indoor arena and some friends to board over I'd keep them home. I have lots of friends that help when I go on vacay so that's not a big deal, but I do enjoy my riding time so the nice part of boarding for me is not worrying about stall cleaning/feeding/watering so I have more time to work. I love having my horses close too, where I can just jump on and ride any time of day.

At the moment I have a couple boarded for show season and the other at home. I can still ride here, but since the training horses are boarded it's just simpler to have the horses in work all in one spot. It is farther than I like to drive but the BO's are awesome to work with and I love it there. It's like having my own facility.
