I get really confused with the name Caitlyn.. how many spellings, probably like 4...
Four is a conservative estimate.
I've seen:
Caitlyn
Catelynn
Catelinn
Katelynn
Katelinn
Kaitlyn
Kaitlynn
Kaitlinn
Kate Lynn
 and probably a few others.

My daughter is Caitlin; I thought that was the 'standard' spelling.  When she was little and going in and out of hospitals, I was always having to spell or correct the spelling: "C-A-I-T-L-I-N, no 'k's, no 'y's.

Seriously! My name is Kristen, my middle name is Leigh. The two normal ways to spell both of those: Kristen and Kristin, Leigh and Lee. And yet I've gotten the most bizarre spellings on those from people, some of them so off I'm pretty sure they've morphed into totally different names.

Kristin
Kristyn
Christen
Christynn
Chrystyn
Kristten
Kristan
Christenn
Krystyn
Kirstin/Kirsten/Christina/Kristine/Christine etc

eta: My sister's name is spelled slightly differently than the usual: It's Jacquelyn, rather than the more common Jacqueline. But I think it works because hers is pronounced "lyn" on the end, not "line," so it's less confusing. I hate when people spell it -line but pronounce it -lyn.
