I just saw a poster advertising a new show. The main character's name is "Dawna". Seriously - why not just DONNA!!

My bf's middle name is Kaj after his great-grandfather. People try and say it Kage, when it is said Kai. I recently saw someone name their kid "Kai". Not sure if I like that they changed it so it is spelt like it's said or not.

Actually, I know quite a few Dawna's and not a single Donna...lol

I have a french name, which nobody seems to be able to pronounce the right way. If you're going to try to say it in english, don't even try So I just use the short form. Gen, with a "G". I get it spelled Jen, Jenn, Jennie, Glen, Glenn, you name it I've had it happen. Worst is one of hubby's uncles who seems incapable of spelling it correctly. You know, I send a FB message, it will tell you that Gen sent you a message. If I signed it Gen, why do you start your reply with "Hi Jenn"

Disclaimer: I have trouble getting things from my brain to my keyboard. It is not intentional. If I don't make sense, ask me about it and I will try again. If I offend you, I most likely did not mean it...if I did, you would KNOW it!
