Its a really good thing that my friend Linda was taken to a hospital when she took her bonk to the head. Its a really good thing that the driver was also taken to the hospital, as she had a broken pelvis, didnt know it and could have bled out internally. My friend almost died.

She was awake, alert and did not want to go. * and had been wearing a helmet when she had her accident so everyone expected her to be ok too.

She knew she was ( going to be ) ok. Insisted really. Lucky for her and her family there were people around her who cared enough to ignore her insistance. The very few people here giving medical advice about how its no big deal...they dont do anything anyway, and they themselves wouldnt go, should not be giving medical advice, sorry. People with head injuries diagnosing themselves ? Does that sound right to anyone ?

IMHO, this has little to do with the injury(s). Since it is a work related injury, by law, it is covered by workmans comp. Its been stated that the employers would have helped have it checked out.

This is about not wanting to let even a small window of time pass, to take care of ones-self first. This is a real lack of personal boundries. This is maybe not wanting to be replaced. This is trying to look responsible, dependable. In fact, it may be as far from that as it gets. Being told that for healings sake, some time off might be needed....follow-up appts. might be ordered, a show might be missed, someone else might have to work the horses.... forget it ? Self-grandure at its best.

I hope you feel better soon Cali. It was fun talking to you the other night in chat, so when I told you to get checked out, it was not to " start " anything. Pretty sure you would have felt pretty bad ( when next time ?? ) nobody responded to your post.
