It is SO much fun if you can find a reputable club but be prepared for the fact that a LOT of fox hunters do not have a formal riding education. They ride in packs, they gallop over fences, a lot of them are only passengers and sometimes it can get scary. There's no such thing as taking turns. People will jump blind and right on your heels. You have to be in full control and always paying a hundred percent of attention. RIDE DEFENSIVELY because the largest potential for you to get hurt is someone else doing something stupid.

I absolutely love fox hunting but I can't tell you how many stupid accidents I've seen happen and how many idiotic things people do that will just make you shake your head and wonder how they have managed to make it through the last eight seasons. There are some SAINT horses out there and some people who run their horses into the ground doing ass hattish things that belong on this blog but it is the same as with any kind of riding.

There are also a lot of FANTASTIC fox hunters out there. Just be prepared and have fun!
