You're doing a great job..as you can see, I'm a Morgan snob! He looks so good and especially becaue he looks relaxed in the last few pics. His attitude change shows even in the stills. I'm still fighting the speed demon approach to riding as XL was a reiner and a barrel racer in some of his other lives...egads..can turn on a dime and give you change.
We went to our first show a few weeks ago and did well in Showmanship but then it all went steeply downhill..he had no walk and the trot was really a canter at several times..in a walk/trot class. and THEN he almost backed over the judge having a hissy fit because horses were leavning the arena. Hard to explain to him that if he had behaved we could be the FIRST ones out of the arena! grr
Sorry to chat about mine on your thread..but I do love the Morgans and how they can adapt under the the right guidance...I hope you keep posting on his improvements and your strategies. Long and low and walk...will do.. Thank you!!!
