Because then you have to find a ride back to get your car the next day, or you have to pay for the cab, or you have to inconvenience a friend. And all of that means admitting you're not in control.



None of which are good enough excuses, of course.

Great video, though I must admit - the images of pedestrians being struck makes me think of Meet Joe Black, which makes me laugh all over again at the sudden ridiculous nature of that scene.



Agreed that none of those are good excuses, and yet they are what people say all the time. However:

A cab ride is a hell of a lot cheaper than a DUI.
Generally the DD is someone who didn't want to drink anyway (otherwise, if everyone wants to drink...refer to plan A: cab it)
Getting a ride back to your car in the morning is sort of a pain, but again, less of a pain than a DUI. If a person isn't willing to deal with not being able to drive, they shouldn't drink.

The control thing for me isn't much of an issue. When I drink I don't mind letting someone else take over transportation.
