I came into this late, BUT I always ride with my cell phone in my bra. Its easy to get to in an emergency and I it can't easily fall out, like it can a pocket. Yes sometimes it gets sweaty and gross, but its always handy when its needed. I have a LG Strawberry chocolate, 1.5yrs old. Its held up really well for what it is. I have worn out the keys with too much texting but that is beside the point. About 2 months ago we had a really bad rain, and I went on a trail ride with a friend. We went through the creek and my horse fell down because the current was so strong and the water so deep. I fell off, he stood back up, but the water swept me underneath him. My head and entire body were submerged. I was stuck for at least a min, I finally managed to get up (thank goodness he waited for me) and I immediately took my phone out of my bra, turned it off and handed it to my dry friend. Once we got back to the barn, I took the battery off and let it sit in the sun for 2 hours. I waited for it to be completely dry, then I re-attached the battery and turned it on. It has worked perfectly since. Not one problem. So...if you drop your phone in water or some other liquid, let it dry, but you have to remove the battery or it can corrode. As long as you do this it should work fine. I know mine has. And it has worked for many of my friends who have been drunk or just stupid and dropped phones in toilets, bath tubs, water buckets etc.
Good luck!
