So I am thinking about mouths and faces today. I've started working on getting Sol more used to having his face and mouth touched. I speak to him slowly and softly and make no sudden movements, and gently stroke his face. He's getting a bit better with it, but is there anything more I should do?
I am thinking forward to next month when he gets worming meds again. If I can get him really used to having his face and mouth touched, perhaps I can get that tube in before he realizes what's up and has time to flip out. Right now he's fine with a halter and the like but he does get a little more shy about being touched than many of the horses there. What do you think?
Thanks as always.

LOL that's postive thinking. My mare is only headshy when it's worming time. He will know, regardless.

In al seriousness though, it sounds like you are doing what he needs. Slow and steady wins the race.

HorseHawk owes me $100. If this message is still in my siggy, she hasn't paid up yet.
