Is this the beginning she will be a cribber? When my baby girl eats she has started biting the wood. It started about 6 days ago and at first it was once a day maybe but over the past few days she has gotten progressively worse. She is weaned 51/2 months old is not stalled at all. They have several 12x12 stalls with three sides and they can get in and out of as they please. When feeding I do put a board up across the stall so the other two boys don't run her off her grain, but we sit right there until she finishes eating, which takes an HOUR, then she is let out. She has acess to coastal hay, a mineral block and twice a day is fed 1.75lbs of strategy and some alfala pellets so I don't think it is a deficiency anywhere? Is this a stage she is going through or the beginning signs she will be a cribber?

Thanks

Some just do it I think.....Get a big bottle of cheap hot sauce at a Sams Club or somewhere, put it in a spray bottle & put it on can help some....Really douse the spots it has been chewing....
