Melyni: I am not aware about a fight between RPSI and ZfdP - also not a fight about RPS and ZfdP.
Regarding Hussar I received this question several times - as far as I remember I answered this already to you as well.
I personally spoke with Otto Schalter shortly after the RPSI grading of Hussar's full brother Helios of Independence.
He assured me that Hussar's foals will be fully eligible for main book.
So, this was already checked by myself even before frozen semen of Hussar was available.
Nowadays I do not see a problem for Hussar's status at all as even KNN has seen foals of him in 2010 and this offspring was highly regarded scoring very well. So, with the KNN being EU motherbook deciding on recognition I do not see a problem with recognition of other EU breeding associations having to follow the rules of the KNN.
Furthermore, Otto Schalter and Hans Britze know each other very well. I am pretty sure that they are able to sort such things out in the best manner. For people in the U.S. that had some kind of "problems" I can only say that for some reason they have either not contacted the right people for assistance or that they demanded something they actually had to apply for. As to the one stallion I know of I would like to point out that a recognition by RPSI was demanded by the owners at a time, where the stallion wasn't even listed on the stallion roster of the breeding association he was graded with. Under these circumstances you surely get problems! Nevertheless I would like to point out that - as far as I remember - such "rejections" of Knabstrupper stallions took place in the year 2007 and/or 2008, which means at a time, were you could not demand recognition at a breeding association for a stallion graded by another breeding association, but either apply and ask for it nicely or having to present the stallion at a grading, again, and meeting the performance requirements.
Nowadays it is a lot easier to get recognition by one EU breeding association, when the stallion was originally graded by another EU breeding association.
