Took Kalli out for a trail ride in company last Sunday. She was amazing. I floated her to my friends house 1/2 an hour away so that I could take her out in company.

She has hardly been ridden with other horses. She got off the float like an old hack. Had a sniff of the horses she had never met. I let her have a look around in Sarah's round yard for about 1/2 an hour. Then saddled her up and we were off. She took to the lead and led like a pro, even over some pretty rough country I was soo proud.

She was remarkably well behaved, she had a little prance once, when a mob of horses came galloping up behind us, but that was it. I did the usual back up, until soft at the poll, drop the reins and walk off.

I only got to ride twice this week, because of all the rain (yay rain, 3 days in a row, I can not remember the last time that happened ).

This horse is a little bit of a star. I keep waiting for her to say no to something, or have a hissy fit or do something, other than be a perfectly behaved mature young lady.
I have NEVER ridden a horse like it. I thought the palli was a breeze to break in, but this one has been so easy it is a little bit of a joke. At least the Palli tested me some times.

I gave her a little hair cut today, beard and fetlock trim. I also trimmed her feet.

I need to start working on the leg yeilding a little more next week. I just have not figured out how I am going to do it yet as I do not have access to an arena or a fenced off area to ride in the town that I live. I am sure I will think of something .
