The whole 'well, you make a lot of money, Mr. Business Owner, so should I!' thing ticks me off to no end. Of COURSE he/she does. They have to pay for the building, the equipment, the materials, the employees, etc etc ad naseum. Plus, if the business tanks, the owner is significantly more screwed than the employee, therefore the risk deserves greater reward.

But they employees don't ever see that. They just see the 'big man' ripping them off, not the enormous tax check that was written.

What about just paying a living wage? So that even the person who cleans the toilets can afford to rent a place to live, drive a little car, have some kind of health cover, maybe have a little dream to go on holiday now and again?  Oh and not forgetting buying groceries and being able to use the utilities.
