I'd somehow like to reinforce or create laws that would significantly limit harmful corruption within or relating to banks.

I'd like to know what exactly you're referring to here, or if you're just shitting something out of your mouth. Do you know how strict the law regarding banks and banking policy and lending policy are? Especially after the last five years? Do you know much about banking law? Yes, a lot of big NATIONAL banks have fucked up, especially the GOVT BACKED ones, like Freddie Mac or Fannie May--but the small, well-managed banks, like the one my husband works for, are doing amazingly well, thanks to presidents and staff who THINK things through and don't lend to dipshits that want a $300,000 house but only make $50,000/yr.
Do your fucking homework before you come up with or support an idea that would tear thousands of good, conservative banks apart.

I think she is talking about the Bank of America and their ilk.

I won't say there was/is no corruption in the banks. There is corruption in every sector, really. But the present financial crisis was not caused by corruption. In reality, it has very little to do with banks at all.
