I do have exceptions, but for the most part, I prefer to keep breeds pure. In my experience and research, I have only found maybe one quality result in breeding a Friesian with an outside breed. They just do not seem like breeds that cross well with others. But if you have intensively studied both breeds, the sire and dam's bloodlines, their previous foals, recieved professional advice and information on the particular cross you want to pursue, and have had both mare and stallion inspected by professionals then I say go for it.

But generally, you'll find most people on this board are against cross breeding the Friesian.
