Looks like you are evidently skimping on sufficient bedding for your constantly stalled horses...(hock sores)...Indifferent

Is this fucking for real? HOCK SORES!? You're nit-picking about goddamn HOCK SORES!?

Ohhh the horror! The agony, the neglect! What trashy, incompetent abuse!

You seriously have to be fucking kidding me. BTW, in desert states where we don't bed often, about 95% of all horses have hock sores and no one says a damn thing. My ponies all have hock sores, and they're even on bedding when they're in stalls. Even a large portion of the race horses have them. Big fucking deal.

It's very evident you're not as fuckin particular or considerate about your performance horses as barrel racers are...huh...?

A sore on their hock or any joint hurts when they're running & moving that joint while performing/working or just moving around. Not to mention screw worms can easily get in it or proud flesh can develop & infection can set in & take the sore all the way to the bone. We/barrel racers/ kinda go by "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" down here...

But you sound like the Yahoos that say, "It's too far from its heart to hurt it."...or..."It's just a horse."...Eyes

I barrel raced on the pro level for 10 years you dumbass, I don't think the type of riding sport has anything to do with who cares "more" about their horses. They had hock sores when I barrel raced too.

If the sore hurts, they would show it and it would be addressed. In Arizona, you don't really have a choice and unless you bed 1+ feet deep EVERYWHERE, then the horses are going to get sores no matter what because the ground is rock hard and nothing but rock hard dirt. In the past 20 years, I've never once seen a hock sore turn into proud flesh or infection, but all hock sores I've seen have never been deep - just light scratches on the hock. Plus, it's normal to clean/wash them often.

My ponies have no issue with it, they gallop 10-20 miles a day, 5-7 days a week and never seem to have any "performance" problems. Neither do any of the thousands (THOUSANDS) of racehorses I deal with on a normal basis. Even at the nicest barns here, who bed in the deepest, most expensive bedding, have horses with hock sores. You can't really avoid them here, and if it doesn't seem to be a problem then why make a big fuss over it? I think FTF lives somewhere with similar climate to AZ, plus her horses are out on hard ground, so hock sores are bound to happen.

I was amused that you wanted to nit-pick FTF so badly that you had to search for the smallest detail to throw a bitch fit over.
