She did try to jump new fencing, taking out a field wire Behlen gate, 12.5 gage no-climb w/top rail fence section and a 4x6 post. We have a temporary section of fully-covered t-post hot-wire. New fence sections and gate (with added two rows of hot-wire) going back in tomorrow.
She is a good mare in a bad market and would not have done well at auction where she was headed. I owed her former owner some kindness. She was a project he had just brought in. She is now in good health and we have been looking to place her in a permanent home interested in investing in her skills. Unfortunately, no skills, no homes.
We are now concerned that our intent to offer her a safe haven is not safe now that she's feeling well. She now needs a regular job to keep her occupied instead of getting into trouble.
We are still looking to place her in an appropriate home. Price listed has been to keep the seriously nutty responses to a minimum. She is registered with current papers. Nice conformation for a mostly unremarkable pedigree.
