Since the color stuff has been of topic lately ....

What is a dunalino?  My impression is that it's a red dun with a cream gene?  So in order for a horse to be a dunalino, it must have a dun gene somewhere, right?

How can you tell a dorsal strip from countershading?  Do palominos have countershading?

There's a lady with a stallion at stud and she's advertising him as a dunalino.  From looking at his pedigree, there are no duns.  The only thing I can think of is maybe one of his gray ancesters was a base color of dun, base colors aren't listed.

Here's the site:  http://www.swancreekandalusians.ca/

Obviously krazy kolor breeder and really?  An andalusian x belgian?  Maybe I'm missing something but ....

And the "dunalino" in question:  Sorry only pics I could find of him ....

Cool horse.
Us boring people that dont get in to specifics would call this big brute a sorrel with a flaxen main and tail.  (confesses I did not read the thread).  Color sells so that lady is claiming he is off colors.  Stallion material?  Not so much.

I was the daughter who wouldn't lift a finger in the house but cycled madly off in the pouring rain to spend all morning mucking out a stable.
