Hey Josie, don't feel bad about what people have been saying. I know it may seem harsh, but people are just trying to give an honest assessment, and hopefully this post (and this section of the board in general) will help you learn some things about what to look for conformationally.

I will be perfectly honest and admit that I knew less than nothing about conformation before I started reading the blog and this board. When I started leasing my gelding, I thought he was Perfect with a capital P. Turns out, he's a conformational nightmare. That doesn't make him any less broke or fun to ride or lovable, but some days when I look at him I still feel like kind of a dunce for not spotting the mile-long back, mutton withers, etc. Oh well, lesson learned.

I hope you enjoy the filly and get her working in a job she excells at! And I hope you stick around the board, too!

Edited to fix the cardinal sin: "confIrmation" instead of "confOrmation." Dunce.
