Friends of mine have had to take several of their dogs to the vet this year to get it removed from their dogs ears and even a piece in a dog's eye. I also had a client dog come in with it just packed and infested INSIDE of his feet so bad he could barely walk. I keep mine mostly indoors and we live in the city so it's not much of a problem for us. I'm not sure what can be done about getting rid of the stuff... Have you done a google search?
I did search it but not a lot of info with regards to horses. I'm curious if horses eat it. Usually horses (that are fed I should add) won't eat harmful or poisonous plants.
