All incoming semi trucks were for the Tar Sands, it is not uncommon for there to be a shortage of staples, and luxury items.

You know when the recession hit, in 2008...the shelves at Canadian Tire had STOCK again!  The recession was really nice, actually.  The town settled down to "almost normal."  Sure, rent and housing was still obscene, but at least the gridlock on the highway every morning was under an hour!

It's definitely been heating back up, though still not at early 2008 levels of crowding.  We even got a new grocery store this year...it's really nice!

And it's not all bad for horses, if you can sort out property, hay, vet situation, etc...the trails are spectacular and never-ending.  Mostly ATV trails, but they work great for horses too.
