Agree with the personality thing more then a breed thing.. But a lot of breeds are bred for a personality that is strong or hyper... I knew a kid in 4-h that had a fairly hot arab-QH cross that looked like a pure Arab.. it was pretty hot? did not do anything and put up with him hanging off her mouth, terrible, terrible riding.. just a train wreck, hard to watch, but that mare took care of him like no other horse would have, any other horse would of dumped his ass flat for the abusive hashed bit and hands, plus kicking and pulling on the bit at the same time.. I don't know how that sensitive mare put up with it.. she loved him so much, she was a saint.. they sent her off to be bred and she would not eat until the boy showed up...... they ended up selling her.. poor mare.. but it shows a senstive, hot horse can be good for a new or very bad rider..
