My first horse was an Ayrab and she was the worst first horse evar. But I wouldn't change anything. I loved her to pieces, she was my heart horse.

I would tell a new horse person to probably stay away from Saddlebreds and young TBs. Or anything young, for that matter. I would probably not recommend an Ayrab either, but that is absolutely based on the individual, and has more to do with how smart they are than how hyper they are.

If there was a vet student action figure, no children would buy it, and it would need to come with a warning label about increasing the depression in teenagers. Even the commercials for it would be depressing:
