Has anyone seen a horse go crazy from sedation they give for something like a float? I don't understand how that ^ happens.

My old Billy horse was very hard to sedate.  He would take usually two - three times more than what it should have taken.  He never really went crazy but he sure did fight it.  He was normally very laidback (he was in his 30s) but when sedated he seemed really uneasy and spooky.  When we got him and he had to have a few teeth pulled, my vet had to sedate him so much his whole body was twitching.  We put him down early this year by gunshot.  We didn't really have a choice (he went down and couldn't get up)  but I still would have done it that way if given the choice because of the way he acted when sedated.
