I'll start with the good.
I like that he's much closer to level than a lot of stock horses. Seriously, a lot of them have butts that deserve a different zipcode from their front end, from what I've seen, and this guy looks at least passably close to level. So, he's got that going for him.
While he has a ewe neck, with some horses this can be improved with good, suppling, rounded work, where they learn to correctly go on the bit.
Unfortunately, while his neck might improve, it is still a ewe neck right now, and might very well be passed on. Some ewe necks are entirely structural, and others are correctable - I have no idea which of these cases he is, quite frankly. You'd need someone more experienced to gauge that. His hip also isn't the kind of rounded hip that stock horse people desire, from what I gather. He is far from perfect from the knee down, as well.
While I don't think you'll get much support from people here (including me) on breeding to a 3 year old stallion with less than stellar conformation, at least you are listening to us and not leaving in a huff
We tend to be harsh; don't take it personally, we're all just very concerned about the number of unwanted horses in the world with poor conformation.
And if it makes you feel better, I think you chose better with this little unproven guy than if you'd picked this World Champion paint....
