I don't care for cichlids (except some dwarf varieties), but when I order cichlids for the store we use a certain wholesaler who has wonderfully healthy fish, though they tend to be on the small side. They also have harder to find species. If you plan on buying from a local fish store, I would see if they order from this wholesaler and if they don't possibly suggest them to the store. PM me if you want their details.

Thanks I will. Our PS is actually not too bad. They get their fish from a guy in Las Vegas who drives them up here, stocks and also moniters their tanks. I expect I will shop down there ( 3 hours S of here ) when Im ready to stock so I can do a mass youngster group all at once. There are also 2 fish gurus in N. UT. who also sell to club members. One kid ( teen ) has turned his hobby into a big business, shipping cichlids all over the world. He has a tank of 2' Fronts Im drooling over, but I have not even gotten my order from Amazon, let along my substrate, background done. Then I get to cycle a new tank.....looking at mid-winter to spring time at least before I get to buy fishies.....boo hoo.
