The fact the 15% of horse related injuries are concussions/head injuries supports the idea that wearing helmets is actually a very good idea. That is a pretty high rate of brain trauma for a sport. Any sport. just because soft tissue and extremity injuries are more common, doesn't mean that head injuries are uncommon.

Also, since Linda Parelli suffered a brain injury riding a presumably well trained horse that she presumably has an excellent relationship with makes her reasoning for not wearing a helmet hypocritical at the very least. Utter bullshit if you are not into mincing words.
