I don't get a false sense of security wearing a helmet, don't know why I would. Knowing how to fall properly while wearing a helmet and protective vest didn't keep my ankle from being broken when my horse flipped. Trying to fall properly and roll away from the horse was probably what helped break the ankle, not realizing my foot was under the horse and all. Broke my nose somewhere in the process too.
