I fail to see the point of this appliance.... why not just pour the batter into a pan?
What if you live in a dorm where you don't have access to an oven?

Also, I have a gas stove, a small, old house with inefficient air conditioning, and live in Florida. I hate using the oven in the summer because it heats the whole kitchen/living room up. That's part of the reason I use the crock pot so much - so I don't have to turn the oven on.

Plus, it cooks brownies in 5-7 minutes rather than 25-30, so it's perfect for those seeking instant gratification. By the time you've finished licking the mixing bowl, the brownies are done.

I reject your reality and substitute my own.
