Looks like a pain in the ass to clean and store. I'd prefer cutting them out of a pan to dealing with another bloody appliance.

I think it was alton brown who used to go on all the time about not having any single use items in the kitchen, everything must be able to multi task or its just taking up more space than its good for. So now i get stupid kitchen things for christmas and try and look appreciative while in my mind i'm all "single... Use... Object..."
but i guess it could also be used for corn bread or something?
I'm the same about single use items.  We got a free Cusinart waffle maker from a grocery store promotion in November.  My son was happy (he loves waffles) but I wished there was more I could do with the thing.  Through google I found the Waffleleizer, a website that asks the question "Will It Waffle?" - IOW, can I cook "x" (x being food that isn't overly wet)  in a waffle maker?  We've made french toast (excellent) & rolls (DH & I liked the result, my DS didn't).  A friend experimented with "waffling" (i.e. to cook with a waffle iron) cookies and they turned out pretty good - lots of crispy edges & soft center.  Anyway, after learning that we could do more than make waffles with our waffle maker, I'm sure the Brownie Bar Maker could be used for a lot more than just brownies.
