It doesn't matter that the other person was a petty bitch about it. She legitimately may not have known the quarter sheet was yours and stashed it away until someone asked about it. I know that most people don't appreciate random items draped over arena fences, and a quarter sheet thusly left out would probably be put away. She may have heard you were looking for it, and rather than deal with what she saw as YOUR petty bullshit, simply put it back where you'd be sure to find it.

Regardless, if you're that upset about it, you need to say something. Right now you're only guessing about the motivations of others and working yourself up into an equally petty snit about it. Either be happy it was returned and move on, or bring it up to the BM (politely) that you'd appreciate it if she could put the odd item you leave out (assuming it is the odd item and not a habit) either in your locker or somewhere safe and alert you as to where it is.

This. You don't KNOW anyone deliberately took it or 'hid' it to mess with you; you're only guessing. If I found something at out yard and didn't know who it belonged to, and neither did anyone else I asked, I would put it away somewhere safe and out of the way until the owner could be identified. It might even slip my mind to ask about it - I have other things to think about. If you made a fuss about it being moved, it may be they decided they couldn't be bothered to explain that or were afraid you'd kick off about it, so just put it back for you.
